In this capacity, Mr. Klump is responsible for managing, directing, and executing all technology operations, infrastructure, software engineering, software development, project management, and technology compliance across the organization.

Prior to joining NCB, Mr. Klump most recently was the Chief Information Officer for The Washington Trust Company, located in Westerly, Rhode Island. In his role, Mr. Klump was responsible for all technology, loan, payment, deposit operations and project management functions across the bank. Prior to joining The Washington Trust Company, Mr. Klump was Senior Vice President, Head of Application Testing at Citizens Bank in Providence, Rhode Island.
Mr. Klump holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a master’s degree from the George Mason University School of Public Policy.
Mr. Klump served in the United States Army from 2001-2006 and served as a member of the United States Army National Guard from 2007-2015.
Mr. Klump recently served as the State Chair and Employer Outreach Director for the Employer Support of the Guard & Reserve (ESGR) for the state of Rhode Island. He also served on the leadership council of Year Up Providence, a one-year training program that provides low-income young adults, with a combination of hands-on skill development, college credits, and corporate internships.
