National Cooperative Bank Announces 2016 Board of Directors

Washington, D.C. (May 10, 2016)—National Cooperative Bank (NCB), a leading financial services company serving cooperatives nationwide, held its annual meeting on May 5th at the Women in Military Service for America Memorial in Arlington, VA, during which its 2016 Board of Directors was announced. Steven Cunningham, past president and CEO of IMARK Cooperative and President of S.F. Cunningham, LLC, served as chair of the meeting.

The Board welcomes two new members: Debra Huddleston, Advisor at Perella Weinburg Partners and member of the 51 East 90th Street housing co-op in New York, NY, and Christine Neal, Senior Vice President of Finance and Treasurer of Unified Grocers in Commerce, CA.

Huddleston and Neal replace Michael Mercer, president and CEO of Georgia Credit Union Affiliates in Duluth, GA and Ray Moncrief, retired executive vice president and COO of Kentucky Highland Investment Corporation in London, KY.

“As directors, Mike and Ray have been instrumental in NCB’s success. They have provided leadership, commitment and countless contributions over their tenure. I am truly grateful for their dedication and service to NCB and the cooperative community,” said Charles E. Snyder, President and CEO of NCB. “We are excited for what the future brings with our new members as we continue our efforts to find new and innovative ways to expand our reach and serve our customers in the community.”

The Board benefits from a diverse roster of members, who come from a variety of industries in which cooperatives play an important role. In addition to Huddleston and Neal, NCB’s 2016 Board Members are:

• Wilson Beebe, past president of Thanexus, in Wall Township, N.J.;

• Roger Collins, CEO and chairman of Harps Foods in Springdale, AR;

• Steve Cunningham, president of S.F. Cunningham, LLC in Vienna, VA;

• Paul Hazen, CEO of U.S. Overseas Cooperative Development Council in Washington, D.C.;

• Janis Herschkowitz, president and CEO of PRI, Inc. in Cornwall, Penn.;

• Peter Larkin, president and CEO of National Grocers Association;

• Andrea Levere, president of CFED in Washington, D.C.;

• Martin Lowery, executive vice president at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association in Arlington, VA.;

• Mary Ann Rothman, executive director of The Council of NY Cooperatives and Condominiums in New York, N.Y.;

• Maurice Smith, president of Local Government Federal Credit Union in Raleigh, NC;

• David Swanson, partner, Dorsey & Whitney in Minneapolis, MN; and

• David Vliet, CEO of Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center, Inc. in Hayward, CA.
