National Cooperative Bank Names Sandra Braun Vice President – Commercial Credit Team

Arlington, Va. – (March 19, 2015) – National Cooperative Bank (NCB), a leading financial institution dedicated to serving cooperatives nationwide, is pleased to announce that Sandra Braun has joined the bank as Vice President, heading the Commercial Loan Underwriting and Credit Analysis Team. In this role, Ms. Braun will be responsible for the underwriting and analysis of all commercial lending transactions and will work closely with the Chief Credit Officer and Senior Management in developing commercial credit policies and guidelines for NCB. She brings three decades of experience in relationship/portfolio management, credit analysis and business development with various-sized private and public firms.

In addition to spearheading the commercial loan underwriting and credit analysis team at the Bank, Ms. Braun will also manage the process to ensure compliance to the Bank’s policies and guidelines. She will be responsible for training and staff development to both senior and junior credit analysts and provides advice to sales teams regarding loan structuring, collateral valuations and loan covenants.

Prior to joining NCB, Ms. Braun was a principal relationship manager in the business banking group at Wells Fargo Bank in Summit, N.J. There, she managed a portfolio of small to mid-sized privately held companies, and was actively involved in restructuring a larger exposure credit which resulted in a more appropriately monitored structure.

She also was a Senior Vice President in the Government Contractors Group at Citizens Bank of Pennsylvania in Vienna, Va., where she managed a portfolio of 10 clients with $204MM in aggregate credit exposure.
