Arlington, VA (February 26, 2013) — National Cooperative Bank (NCB), a leading financial services company dedicated to providing banking products to cooperatives nationwide, is proud to announce that David Christiansen will serve as the Bank’s new Chief Credit Officer.

As Chief Credit Officer, Mr. Christiansen will be responsible for setting loan policy, managing the credit and loan closing departments and providing credit oversight to all areas of NCB. Additionally, he will handle the management of all credit concentrations and regulatory audit requirements.
Prior to his role as NCB’s Chief Credit Officer, Mr. Christiansen worked as a Director at Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank in New York, NY. In this role he managed the credit process, credit underwriting, documentation, and portfolio maintenance of four large portfolios: diversified industries/ healthcare/ international banking/ media & communications. Mr. Christiansen has also served as a Vice President and Senior Underwriter at JP Morgan Chase in New York where he was the primary credit risk officer for a commercial loan portfolio of nearly $6 billion of syndicated secured and unsecured loans originated to over 25 diversified clients. Mr. Christiansen worked at NCB from 1998-2000 as an Assistant Vice President responsible for national business development and credit management for NCB’s commercial real estate portfolio.
Mr. Christiansen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Virginia, in Charlottesville, VA.
